A Kids Tree-House, or a Critical Curling Need?
When we first started the project, there was no budget for us to install a dehumidifier system. Since Cincinnati is a relatively humid climate, we were worried that this would be a problem long term. So with some good fundraising, along with our building committee working frugally, we can make the dehumidifier happen for when we open.
But the big question, with so much construction already done, where would we put the dehumidifier. We were originally going to mount it to the ceiling beams, but to save time, we will simply say that was not going to be easy. So we went with the next best idea, to build a raised platform that would be home to the dehumidifier. We placed this right next to the ice, over top of the platform where we will store the Ice King during the season. Once done, we will build a small room around the Ice King that will allow us to store things like the push broom, the nipper, and other basic ice maintenance items.
