Time to Build One More Wall

One nice feature about the club is that there will be a bathroom directly off the ice, so any mid-game emergency can be handled quickly.  But this will also be a bathroom regularly used by people in the warm room, which at first thought does not seem like a problem.  However, every time that people open the warm room door, they will be bringing warm humid air right onto the ice.

So, we put a plan in place, and built a 20-foot-long half wall along the sidewalks.  This will help prevent any of the warm room air going directly onto the ice.  At that point, the building dehumidifier will take care of any humidity, making sure that in the end there will be no bad spot in the ice.

As a hidden bonus, this could be an area that people can stand in and watch people on the ice.  I can imagine this being popular for people watching others in a Learn to Curl class.
