We Need To Add A Floor Drain
When building a curling club, an important, but often overlooked detail is adding floor drains. They are needed so that when you melt the ice in the spring, the water has somewhere to go without you having to pump the water out.
When we leased the building, there were 3 floor drains already in the warehouse which at first seemed great. But since we have to build a club that is 3 sheets in a 2+1 formation, we noticed that all 3 floor drains were under the single sheet, with no drains under the double sheet.
So ultimately a couple of our members, Darrell & Phil, had to break up the concrete floor and add a drain line under the double sheet. You can see this process below.
